The Wiltshire Festival of Engineering and Manufacturing is coming to the Olympiad Leisure Centre in Chippenham on Wednesday 28th September 2016.
Over 1400 local school pupils are expected to attend with 40+ companies exhibiting, including Corsham’s Bath ASU and Airbus, Dyson, Siemens, Hitachi, Network Rail and EDF. They will tour interactive engineering stands and take part in experiments and games to give them a flavour of engineering.
Organised by Chippenham and Corsham’s MP Michelle Donelan, the Wiltshire Festival of Engineering aims to help build a stronger manufacturing and engineering economy to serve the local community and to enthuse young people from an early age.
The Festival aims to inspire young people to develop an interest in science, manufacturing and engineering so that they might consider it as an exciting, rewarding career.
